Acid Attacks ruin Lives
Thursday, August 2nd, 2018
Sobering video on the devastating impact of an acid attack on a 47-year-old mother of three in High Wycombe. Joanne Rand died from multiple organ failure after contracting septicaemia. Her family explains the impact of her loss.
Her attacker was sentenced to 17 years in prison. He claimed that the high-strength sulphuric acid had been knocked from his hand by another person, but why was he carrying acid in the first place? Anyone thinking of carrying a weapon should be aware of the impact it can have on his/her own life as well as others.
We also appeal to parents and other influencers to drive home this point.
