In today’s rapidly advancing technological landscape, the threat of artificial intelligence (AI) fraud and cybercrime looms larger than ever. Buckinghamshire and Surrey’s trading standards experts, together with Surrey Police are warning residents about the dangers these crimes.

In a digital age where AI and cybercrime are evolving at an unprecedented pace, it is important to try and stay ahead of the curve. Nowadays, we use the internet for so many things – chatting with friends, playing games, and even doing schoolwork. But some people use the internet to trick others. They might steal your personal information or money. Learning about these dangers can help keep you safe.

AI has already been associated with a wide array of cybercrimes. These include phishing scams, cloned audio imposter scams, live voice identity theft, deep-fake videos, and even fake positive reviews.

The webinar on 16th July at 10am will cover how to spot and stop a scam, how to report one, and the ways you can protect yourself & others against AI fraud & cybercrime. This event will also be signed in British Sign Language and have subtitles.
