Silver Sunday Small Grants Scheme

Wednesday, September 4th, 2019

‘Silver Sunday’ has become a special day in the national calendar, a day on which everyone can come together to celebrate older people. This year’s Silver Sunday takes place on Sunday 6th October.

If you’d like to organise your own event, financial assistance is at hand. Chiltern & South Bucks Leisure and Communities team is offering a small grants scheme to enable community groups and local Town and Parish Councils to organise an event to support Silver Sunday. The aim is to encourage residents to come together and enjoy opportunities for our elderly residents to connect with the communities and generations around them. Applicants can apply for funding of up to £150 per project.

Guides for organising a Silver Sunday event as well as downloadable posters, invitations and logos can be found at the national Silver Sunday website: https://silversunday.org.uk/

Applications for grants close at 5pm on Wednesday 18th September. Full details can be downloaded here: Silver Sunday Small Grant Scheme – T&C
