Three different Surveys explained (August 9th, 2023)

Buckinghamshire Council’s annual Community Safety survey is currently open for responses, closing at midnight on 29 October 2023.

By law (The Crime and Disorder Act 1998), the Police and local authorities must work together with partner organisations to form a Community Safety Partnership and develop a strategy to reduce crime within the local area.

The Safer Buckinghamshire Board is Buckinghamshire’s local Community Safety Partnership that brings together experts from the police, fire service, probation, health and social care services. The Board develops an annual action plan to reduce crime and anti-social behaviour in Buckinghamshire and help keep it a safe place to live and work.

To help develop this plan, the survey asks questions on:

  • The impact of crime and anti-social behaviour in your area
  • Your experience of reporting crimes
  • How safe or unsafe you feel in Buckinghamshire

The survey is open to anyone living, studying and/or working in Buckinghamshire. The results of the survey are combined with an analysis of all crimes in the county to help deliver the priorities for the next 12 months.
